This Cookie Policy explains how MoatMint Technologies LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company (“MoatMint”, “we”, “us”, or “our”), uses cookies and similar technologies on the MoatMint websites, applications, and services (the “Service”). It supplements, and forms part of, our Privacy Policy and Terms of Use. Capitalized terms not defined here have the meaning given in those documents.
This Policy is written to satisfy the transparency requirements of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the EU ePrivacy Directive (the “Cookie Law”) and its national implementations, the UK GDPR and the UK Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR), and applicable U.S. state privacy laws. It applies to all visitors and registered users of the Service, wherever located.
1. What Cookies and Similar Technologies Are
A cookie is a small text file that a website asks your browser to store on your device. Cookies let a site recognize your browser on later requests so that, for example, you stay signed in as you move between pages. “Similar technologies” include local storage and session storage (browser storage that works like a cookie but is not sent automatically with every request) and tokens used to maintain a secure session.
We refer to all of these together as “cookies” in this Policy. Cookies can be:
- First-party - set by MoatMint on the MoatMint domain; or third-party - set by a service provider that helps us operate the Service.
- Session - deleted when you close your browser; or persistent - kept for a defined period or until you delete them.
2. Why We Do Not Show a Cookie Banner
MoatMint uses only cookies that are strictly necessary to deliver a service you have asked for. Under Article 5(3) of the ePrivacy Directive and equivalent UK rules, cookies that are “strictly necessary” for the provision of a service requested by the user are exempt from the prior-consent requirement. Because we do not use analytics, advertising, profiling, or any non-essential cookies, no consent banner is required, and we do not display one.
If we ever introduce non-essential cookies (for example, optional product analytics), we will update this Policy first and put in place an appropriate consent mechanism - such as a banner that lets you accept or reject those cookies - before any non-essential cookie is set.
3. Cookies We Use
The table below lists the categories of strictly necessary cookies we set. Exact cookie names and lifetimes may change as we update our authentication and security providers; where that happens, the category and purpose remain as described.

Infrastructure and security cookies (e.g. __cf_bm, cf_clearance) | Cloudflare (our hosting and edge-network provider) | Distinguishes humans from bots, mitigates malicious traffic, and keeps the Service available and secure. Cloudflare acts as our service provider (processor) and processes this data on our instructions to host and secure the Service. See our Privacy Policy for more on the providers we use.
4. Cookies We Do Not Use
To be clear about what we do not do:
- We do not use advertising or marketing cookies.
- We do not use third-party cross-site tracking, profiling, or retargeting.
- We do not use cookies to build advertising profiles or to sell or share your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
- We do not use social-media tracking pixels or “like”/share trackers.
If this ever changes, we will update this Policy and obtain consent where the law requires it before setting any such cookie.
5. Legal Bases (EEA and UK Users)
For the strictly necessary cookies described above, the legal position is as follows:
- ePrivacy / PECR. These cookies fall within the “strictly necessary” exemption from the consent requirement because they are essential to provide the Service you have requested (for example, to sign you in and keep your session secure).
- GDPR / UK GDPR. To the extent these cookies involve processing of personal data, our legal basis is our legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(f)) in operating, securing, and delivering the Service, and, where relevant, the necessity of processing to perform our contract with you (Article 6(1)(b)) so that you can access your account.

6. How to Control Cookies
You can control and delete cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers let you block all cookies, block third-party cookies, delete existing cookies, or alert you before a cookie is stored. Helpful guides are available for Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge.
Because the cookies we use are strictly necessary, blocking or deleting them may stop you from signing in or break parts of the Service. There are no optional cookies to turn off, so there is nothing you need to consent to or opt out of for advertising or tracking - we do not do either.
7. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control
Some browsers can send a “Do Not Track” (DNT) signal or a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal. Because we do not track users across sites or sell or share personal information for targeted advertising, these signals do not change how we operate. There is no cross-site tracking to disable.
8. International Users
The Service is operated from the United States, and cookie and related data may be processed in the United States and other jurisdictions where our service providers operate. Where we process the personal data of users in the EEA or UK, we do so in line with the GDPR and UK GDPR and use appropriate safeguards for any international transfers. 9. Your Privacy Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or obtain a copy of your personal information, to object to or restrict certain processing, and (in the EEA/UK) to lodge a complaint with your data protection authority. You can exercise these rights as described in our Privacy Policy or by emailing legal@moatmint.com.
10. Your Agreement
When you create a MoatMint account, you confirm that you have read and understood this Cookie Policy and agree to our use of strictly necessary cookies as described here. Because these cookies are essential to provide the Service, they are required to use your account; this agreement does not ask you to consent to any advertising or tracking cookies, because we do not use any. By continuing to use the Service, you accept this Policy.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version and revise the “Last updated” date above, and material changes take effect when posted. If we ever begin using non-essential cookies, we will obtain consent where the law requires it before doing so. Your continued use of the Service after an update takes effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.
