Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how MoatMint Technologies LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company (“MoatMint”, “we”, “us”, or “our”), collects, uses, and shares information when you use the MoatMint websites, applications, and services (the “Service”). By using the Service, you agree to this Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. This Policy is part of, and incorporated into, our Terms of Use.

1. Who This Policy Applies To

The Service is intended for residents of the United States who are at least eighteen (18) years old. It is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us at legal@moatmint.com and we will delete it.

2. Information We Collect

We collect only what we need to provide the Service:

• Account information. When you register, we collect your name, email address, and a securely hashed password. We never store your password in plain text.
• Usage and preferences. Content you create in the Service — such as watchlists, screens, comparisons, notes, and settings — so we can save and display it back to you.
• Technical and device data. When you use the Service we automatically collect your IP address, browser or device type and user-agent, session identifiers, and basic log and security data. This is used to keep you signed in, secure your account, and operate the Service.
• Cookies and similar technologies. We use strictly necessary cookies (or equivalent local storage) to authenticate your session and remember preferences such as light/dark theme. We do not use third-party advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
• Communications. If you contact us, we keep your messages and contact details to respond and keep records.

We do not ask for, and you should not send us, sensitive financial-account credentials, brokerage logins, government ID numbers, or other sensitive personal information.

3. How We Use Information

• to provide, maintain, secure, and improve the Service and its features;
• to create and manage your account and keep you signed in;
• to respond to your requests and provide support;
• to monitor for, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, security incidents, and technical issues;
• to analyze usage in aggregate or de-identified form to understand and improve the Service; and
• to comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms.

We process this information to operate our business and provide a service you requested.

4. How We Share Information

We do not sell or rent your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We share information only as follows:

• Service providers. With vendors that host and operate the Service on our behalf and process data only on our instructions — for example, our cloud and infrastructure provider (Cloudflare, including its database, hosting, and edge-network services) and, where applicable, payment processors and email-delivery providers.
• Legal and safety. When we believe disclosure is required by law, subpoena, or legal process, or is necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of MoatMint, our users, or the public, or to enforce our Terms.
• Business transfers. In connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction.
• Aggregated or de-identified data, which can no longer reasonably identify you, for any lawful purpose.

Note: financial and market data shown in the Service is supplied by third-party data providers. We send those providers your queries as needed to return results, but we do not share your account identity with them for their own marketing.

5. Data Retention

We keep personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service, then for a reasonable period to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, prevent abuse, and enforce our agreements. You may request deletion of your account as described below.

6. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect your information, including encryption in transit and hashing of passwords. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. You use the Service at your own risk and are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential.

7. Your Choices and Rights

You can review and update your account information in your settings, and you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, or ask us to stop using it, by emailing legal@moatmint.com. We will respond as required by applicable law and may need to verify your identity first.

U.S. state privacy rights. Depending on your state of residence (for example, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Texas, Virginia, and others), you may have rights to know, access, correct, delete, and obtain a portable copy of your personal information, and to opt out of sale or targeted advertising. We do not sell personal information or use it for targeted advertising. We will not discriminate against you for exercising any right. To exercise a right, contact us at the email above; you may use an authorized agent where the law permits.

8. Cookies and Do-Not-Track

You can control cookies through your browser settings, but disabling strictly necessary cookies may prevent you from signing in or using parts of the Service. Because there is no common standard, we do not currently respond to “Do Not Track” browser signals.

9. Third-Party Links and Services

The Service may link to or display third-party websites, data, or content. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of third parties, and this Policy does not apply to them. Review their policies before providing information.

10. U.S. Data Processing

The Service is operated in and intended for the United States, and your information is processed in the United States and other jurisdictions where our service providers operate. If you access the Service from outside the United States, you do so on your own initiative and are responsible for compliance with local laws.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version and revise the “Last updated” date, and material changes take effect when posted. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
